After an intense three-week battle to kick off the postseason, only the top high school football teams in Big Country remain in the 2024 Texas playoffs.

As regional championship weekend approaches, these standout teams have proven themselves as serious contenders for state titles. They’ve risen above the competition and now enter the ‘Elite Eight’ round of the UIL football playoffs.

These elite teams are gearing up to take one step closer to a UIL state championship when the regional finals begin on Thursday, Dec. 5, and conclude on Saturday, Dec. 7.
